Monica Marie Oller

Monica Marie Oller born on August 5, 1968, in the warm community of La Mesa, California, left this world on July 30, 2026. She was a beacon of love and strength for her family and friends, whose lives she touched deeply with her kindness and indomitable spirit.

Monica was the cherished daughter of the late Lester and Barbara Oller. She was predeceased by her parents, her goddaughter Mercedes Lewis, and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her memory and legacy continue through the lives of her children: Karen Turnbull (Gary Rubusch), Kyle Turnbull (Brittany Peña), Kris Turnbull, and Kory Turnbull. Her nine grandchildren, Michael Phillips, Austin Phillips (Andrianna Arvish), Kristopher Rubusch, Keira Norbury, Joseph Turnbull, Kayden Fouts, Riley Turnbull, Karson Turnbull, and Grayson Turnbull, were the light of her life. She is also survived by her brothers, Erik Oller (Grace) and Jason Oller, who shared many cherished moments with her.

Monica's life was defined by her love for family, her dedication to her work, and her commitment to her community. She married Harry Turnbull in 1985, with whom she shared many years and the joy of raising a family, before parting ways in 2000. She pursued higher education with determination, earning a master's degree in accounting from Kaplan University. Her service to her country, as a member of the U.S. Army from 1989 to 1997, was a testament to her courage and dedication.

After her military service, Monica found joy in driving, first with the Killeen Independent School District as a school bus driver from 2001 to 2018, and later as a long-haul truck driver for CR England from June 2018 until her passing. Her colleagues and passengers admired her reliable nature and the warmth she brought to every journey.

Monica's interests were as diverse as her talents. She was a passionate genealogist and an avid creator, enjoying crocheting and diamond painting. She relished the simple pleasure of watching her favorite show, "Outlander," and indulging in her love of iced coffee. Above all, Monica adored spending time with her grandchildren, creating memories that will forever be cherished.

Her personal qualities—her independence, strength of will, intelligence, and warmth—endeared her to all who knew her. Monica had an incredible memory for birthdays and made everyone feel special and remembered. Her life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and determination.

In celebration of Monica’s life, the family will be having a memorial service at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home located at 1615 S. Fort Hood St., Killeen, TX 76542. On September 4th. At 11:00 A.M

Monica's legacy is one of love, resilience, and a life lived fully. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten, as her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
