

Mounir Hanna Korban, age 77, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, in Temple, Texas. To those who loved him, he was the reassuring voice on the other end of the phone, the steady teacher, the skilled craftsman, the Soldier, and the father who never forgot to call and check in. Mounir was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Hanna and Mariam Korban. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Karen Jaques Korban; his brother, Raja Korban; his children, John Korban and Rachel Korban; his stepchildren, Josef Dilly and Hilary Petterson; and his cherished grandchildren, Abigail Wooley, Sidney Lay, Ivy Lay, Enorah Korban, John Jr. Korban, and Kehlani Harrison, along with many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his devotion to family, his quiet strength, and the love he shared so freely with others.
Visitation will be held at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, Texas, on July 8, 2026, from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.
Inurnment With Military Honors will take place at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas, on July 8, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.
