Nancy was born in Boston, Massachusetts and primarily grew up in Illinois. She met and married Phillip Browne while living in Lombard, Illinois. Their first two children, Jason and Stephanie, were born in Illinois. Upon joining the military, Phillip brought Nancy and his kids to Germany where Nancy began her 24 years as an Army spouse. While in the military, Robert was born at their duty station, Fort Rucker Alabama. Always understanding the tumultuous lifestyle of uprooting and relocating every few years, Nancy supported her family through all the highs and lows of military life. Phillip and Nancy recently celebrated their 40 years of marriage on March 13, 2022
Nancy loved all sports including football, basketball, baseball, golf, and tennis. She loved the NFL and MLB most of all. She was a die-hard Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. She had a passion for movies and music. She loved the beach and really missed her time living in Hawaii.
She loved and enjoyed spoiling her 7 grandchildren, often watching some of them on school breaks.
She spent her career in the Military Food Services, the majority of which she proudly served the Armed Forces with AAFES restaurants like Charley's, Einstein Bros, and Anthony's Pizza.
Nancy is survived by her husband Phillip C. Browne; her three children; Jason P. Perry Browne; Robert E. Browne and Stephanie L. Berg; her seven grandchildren; her mother Irene L. Perry and her brother Eric E. Perry.
A visitation for Nancy will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home, Killeen, Texas, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM in the chapel.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.crawfordbowersfuneralhome.com for the Browne family.
