Nell was born in Bell county Texas to J.C, and Fannnie Parker Collins on December 31, 1933. She passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at her home..
Nell worked for Mutual Lumber Company for many years and she managed Gross Yowell Lumber Co. She later established her own carpet business serving Killeen and surrounding areas.
Nell’s name is in the archives of the First Baptist Church Trimmier as she served in many places but mainly in financial responsibilities of the church. Her most valuable contribution was serving as the chairman of the building committee during the building of the Worship center and the remolding of the old Worship center into Sunday School class rooms and library.
God had prepared her well for the task in the business world and she was a wonderful loving mother, wife and grandmother. She humbly had gone about her task working with family and friends. She was a blessing to all of us. She met the love of her life and friend Bill Mangerich.
Nell was preceded in death by her parents J.C. and Fannie Collins. Survivors are her daughter Carolynn ( Eugene ) Champlin, two grandsons Terry (Tammy) Champlin and Billy Gene (Teri) Champlin. Also survived by her six great grand kids, Bailey, Paige, Aiden, Cayce, Cody and Clayton Champlin.
She had many extended family and friends.
