Patricia Ann Brown

Patti worked as a civil service financial analyst with the Department of Defense at Fort Hood for many years. She and her family were involved with the military in various capacities and were quite patriotic.

Patti began square dancing in 1977 and belonged to several clubs and associations in the central Texas area from Temple, Killeen, Harker Heights, and Georgetown and many state and national conventions.

She and Don married in 1990 and continued to square dance along with Don becoming a caller and Patti leading line dances.

Don died in 2011, and Patti retired in 2012. While continuing to dance, she also became an avid traveler and member of the Central Texas Travel Club. Her destinations included Australia, England, Spain, Costa Rica, Canada, Switzerland, Iceland, Ireland, Scotland, five of the western national parks, Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Asheville, North Carolina, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Branson, Missouri.

As the Covid pandemic subsided in 2021, she and Mike renewed their acquaintance through square dancing. She also took up round dancing (choreographed ballroom) dancing with him as their relationship blossomed for her remaining years.

On September 1, 2025, she and Mike made their union official with a ceremony shared online with many friends and family involved.

Patti is preceded in death by her mother Beulah Inboden, father Dean Inboden, and brother Stephen Inboden, and husband Don Brown. She is survived by husband Michael Goggin and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation for Patricia will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 South Fort Hood Road, Killeen, TX 76542. Services will follow at 12:30 pm with the burial service at the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery at 2 pm.
