Peggy Louise Doka Youngs

Peggy Louise Doka Youngs passed to a higher spiritual level at 3:14 PM on 10 July after a lengthy battle with Cancer. Peggy was born in Eglin Field, Florida on 13 August 1946 to First Lieutenant Julius George Doka and Mrs. Vera Thomas Kile Doka. Peggy is survived by the following family members: Husband Charles D. Youngs, Daughter Heather Marie Youngs, spouse Shanna Clinton and their twin daughters Nico Ashby and Julip Vera Clinton Youngs, Doctor David Doka (Brother), his wife Dr. Teena Doka and their two sons Matthew and Jeffery Doka. Mr. Martin, wife Cindy and daughter Julia Youngs, Mr. Douglas, wife Mary Kay and their two sons Martin and Noel. She is survived by many members of the Doka and Kile families.

Peggy started early in life to be an educator of children. She obtained a degree in English from University of Texas, EI Paso and a Masters in Education with a Major in Secondary Education from Georgia State University. Her love of reading and books lead her to attend the University of Texas at Austin earning a Masters degree in Library and Information Science and joined Beta Phi Mu. She passed her Texas Teacher Certificate in High School English, High School History, and All¬Level Learning Resources. Peggy was a teacher at many levels but the love of her education life was when she became a librarian. She served in this capacity for over 20 years in the C.C.I.S.D of which most of those years was as the High School Librarian. Peggy was a member of

ALTRUSA International , a number of book clubs, served many years on the Library Board for the Copperas Cove Public Library, and was a member of Pershing Park Baptist Church. It was her desire that her 1200 book collection be donated to the Copperas Cove Public Library.

Peggy was a good person, a loving person and a compassionate person. She had a zeal for life and always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She will be missed by all who knew her. Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday 20 July at Pershing Park Baptist Church in Killeen, Texas.
