

Prudencio was born February 13, 1946 in Merizo, Guam to Vicente and Juana Gamboa. Prudencio (SFC) proudly served in the United States Army for twenty-six years and retired in 1991. He was a veteran of the Vietnam and Gulf wars. He was a member of TREA, NCOA, DAV, the American Legion and VFW. He was very proud that his son, Vincent, joined the U.S. Navy and that his grandson, Jon will be reporting for active duty with the U.S. Navy on June 21, 2010. Prudencio was a lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, bird watching, gardening and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Julia T. Gamboa they were married on October 26, 1968; sons, Prudencio M. Gamboa, Jr., Vincent T. Gamboa, Christopher T. Gamboa; daughter, Juanita G. Orallo and husband Nestor; grandchildren, Jonathan N. Orallo and Justin P.G. Orallo; many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 in the evening with a rosary being recited at 7:00 on Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 in the morning on Friday, June 17, 2010 at St. Pauls Chong Hasang Catholic Church in Harker Heights with the interment to follow in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery where we will honor the life and service of Mr. Gamboa with military honors.
