Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on 08 December 2023 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 S. Fort Hood St, Killeen, TX 76542.
He was born on 22 June 1995 in Mandeville, Jamaica WI to his father Ansel and his mother Judy Barbara Barnes-Kelsey.
Ramon attended Duhaney Park School in Jamaica, W.I. When he migrated to the United States in December 2005, he attended and graduated from Voyages High School in Queens New York. Upon his graduation of high school, Ramon spent time as a Tutor and a student of Kaizen MMA Academy.
Ramon enlisted into the United States Army in October 2017. He attended many military schools during his time in service. Most reputably, he graduated Mounted Reconnaissance for Brigade Combat Teams, earning the L6 skill identifier. Ramon succeeded in his career as a Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Specialist in the United States Army; he was assigned to Charlie Battery of 3CR, STEEL Squadron as a CBRN NCO.
Ramon married Ariana Barnes on 14 May 2021, and they had one child together, Travys Jaxon Barnes. In his free time, Ramon enjoyed going to the gym to make new personal records and to motivate everyone around him to do the same. He thought of the gym as his second home. In addition to the gym, Ramon loved cars. He spent a lot of time working on his car himself, making it both faster and louder.
Ramon will always be remembered for his charming and unmatched humorous personality. The connections and relationships he’s made over the years speak for the type of man that he was. No matter who you were or where you were from, Ramon exhibited acceptance to everyone and gave an unwavering amount of love to those close with him. His ultimate goal in life was to be the best person he could be as a son, father, and husband. He remained authentic to himself and to those he loved. He will forever be cherished in our hearts forever.
Ramon was preceded in death by his father, Ansel, and his grandmother, Gloria.
Ramon is survived by his loving wife, Ariana, his two children, Travys and Cannon, his mother, Judy B. Kelsey-Barnes, his best friend, Denzel Solomon whom he considered a brother, and many loyal friends and extended family.
