

Ray Warren Johnson was born August 10, 1949, three minutes after his twin brother Roy A. Johnson. He departed this life on March 10, 2014.
Ray attended and graduated from Thomas J. Edison High School, in Elmira Heights New York. Immediately after high school, Ray joined the U. S. Army.
During his tenure as a soldier, he served his country as an airborne medic. He was also awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his brave display of heroism and meritorious service while serving in the Vietnam Nam war.
After his honorable discharge from the Army he joined the fire departments of both Belton and Temple, Texas where he served as a paramedic and firefighter.
After leaving the fire departments he served as a Phone Operator, Telemetry and Emergency Room Technician at Metroplex Hospital of Killeen, Texas.
After retiring from Metroplex, Ray continued to serve as a volunteer Chaplain at numerous hospitals and senior centers. He also served on the Ministerial Staff as a Chaplain at the Second Street Baptist Church of Killeen, whereas he continued to serve until he was summoned home by his Lord and Savior.
Ray is survived by his loving wife, Helena Johnson (Killeen) twin brother Roy A. Johnson (Syracuse, NY) two daughters; Candace Johnson (Macon, Ga.)Enchantra Thomas (Killeen). Five sons; Ray W. Johnson Jr.(San Diego, Calif.) Mario McKenzie, Theodore Byers, Geraldo Byers, and Melvin Thomas, all of Killeen, Texas. His four-legged friends; Jackson Johnson and Itty Bitty. A host of grandchildren friends and relatives.
Ray was preceded in death by both his parents, Chauncey and Marjorie Johnson.
