Raymond Wayne Anthony

Raymond Wayne Anthony, affectionately known as Wayne, of Killeen, Texas, passed away on July 5, 2026, at the age of 70.

Wayne was born on November 14, 1955, in Crescent City, California. He graduated from Stigler High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Army. On September 7, 1973, he married the love of his life, Debra Rochelle Anthony, in Paris, Texas. After retiring from the U.S. Army in 1994, Wayne continued his career by working for another 20 years with the Directorate of Logistics (DOL) on Fort Hood, where he remained dedicated to supporting the military community.

Wayne found joy in life's simple pleasures. Whether he was fishing, camping, tending to his garden, or spending time with his beloved pets, he was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved most. He was known for his strength, unwavering work ethic, quick sense of humor, and the deep love he had for his family. His steady presence, kind heart, and willingness to help others will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Anthony and father, Jim Anthony.

He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Kathy Scifres; his devoted wife of more than 52 years, Debra Rochelle Anthony; his children, Ronny Wayne Anthony and spouse Charity Anthony, and Amy Liane Clark; his grandchildren, Kelsey Jenkins, Kaitlyn Johnson and spouse John Johnson Jr., Kaleb Clark, Kassidy Anthony, and Kennedy Anthony; his great-grandchildren, Maverick Jenkins, and Murphy Jenkins; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Wayne's wishes were to be cremated, and cremation has taken place. In accordance with his wishes, no formal funeral or memorial service will be held. His family will honor and celebrate his life privately, cherishing the many memories they shared with him.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered their love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Wayne's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
