

Memorial services for Raymond C. Brubaker, 69, of Belton, will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 13, 2009 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.Mr. Brubaker passed away Sunday, November 8, 2009 at his home in Belton. Raymond was born March 26, 1940 in Freedom Township, Pennsylvania to Hiram and Wilma (Furry) Brubaker. He married Wanda Towell on July 1, 1995 in Austin, Texas. They have lived in this area since 1963. Ray served in the US Army and was a member of the Church of the Brethren. Mr. Brubaker worked as an airplane mechanic and as an automotive mechanic. He owned and operated several auto repair businesses in Killeen and Harker Heights. He was an avid fan of auto racing and built and raced his own cars.He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Alfred Brubaker.He is survived by his wife, Wanda Brubaker of Belton; a son, Michael and his wife, Edna Moscheo of Cedar Park; two daughters, Margaret Sternberg of Austin and Cheryl and her husband, Gary Miller of Killeen; three brothers, Robert and Doris Brubaker of Bellwood, PA, Kenneth and Sue Brubaker of Williamsburg, PA; and David and Joan Brubaker of Valparaiso, IN; two sisters, Regina Harmon of Huntingdon, PA and Viola and Bob Dollar of Tyrone, PA; and mother, Wilma Brubaker of Altoona, PA; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.Memorial contributions may be made to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, [email protected]; North Shore Animal League, nsalamerica.org or to Second Chance, 5501 Clear Creek Rd., Killeen, TX 76549 , 254-526-6200.Please visit our online memorial and leave a tribute at www.MeM.com.
