

Funeral services for Rhebel M. Bush, 92, of Mesquite and formerly of Killeen will be 11 am Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Crawford-Bowers Chapel in Killeen. Burial will follow in the Salado Cemetery.
Mrs. Bush passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 in Mesquite.
She was born April 4, 1922 in Ravenden Springs, Arkansas to James E. and Beatrice Sconce Davis. After graduation from Sloan-Hendrix High School in 1941, she married Howard Willis Bush on December 11, 1943 in Imboden, Arkansas. As a military family, they moved to this area in December 1949 and were previous members of the First Baptist Church of Killeen. Rhebel worked as a secretary for Army-Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 26, 1993 after 50 years of marriage.
Survivors include; two sons, James Howard (Glenda) Bush of Salado and Johnny Lee (Larissa) Bush of Little Elm; two daughters, Linda Ann (David) Lightfoot of Rockwall and Vickie Lynn (Chuck) Luigs of Georgia; a brother, J.B. (Claudette) Davis of Killeen; two sisters, Rita (Rex) Hudson of Harker Heights and Thela Bea Appling of Celeste; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Rhebel lived faithfully by her motto to be the best spouse, mother, grandmother that God gave her the wisdom to be.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.
