Robert graduated from Killeen High School, where he found his soulmate, Delia, that would last a lifetime. In the 1980s, he became the proud owner of El Toro Restaurant in Killeen, Texas, a cornerstone of the community where he worked tirelessly until 1997. His dedication to his work was matched only by his commitment to his family and friends. Later, he served as an auditor for Time Warner Cable, always exemplifying the same principles of integrity and diligence.
Robert lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family and community. He was a man whose spirit touched the hearts of all who knew him. He loved to love others, always looking for a way to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear. Robert's ability to connect with people and make them feel valued was a gift that will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his son, Robert M. Gonzales, his daughter, Rochelle Gonzales, and his son-in-law, Mario Villalpando. Robert's legacy continues through his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy: Robert Gonzales III, Raoul Gonzales, Sofia Villalpando, Samya Villalpando, and Salia Villalpando. He is also survived by his brother, Ray Gonzales, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
Robert was preceded in death by his loving parents, Julia and Conrad Gonzales; his brother, Rudy Gonzales; and the love of his life, his wife of 51 years Delia Gonzales.
