Roberto Rios-Torres

He retired from Central Texas College in 2008 after 18 years as a full-time night custodian. Before moving to Texas, he lived in the city of Ponce in Puerto Rico. In 1960, he married the love of his life, Ms. Maria Cristina Valle, in Manhattan, New York, and they were together for 57 years.

Mr. Rios-Torres was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Mrs. Maria C. Rios.

He is survived by his son, Roberto Rios Jr. (Carmen); daughters, Vivian Rios and Waleska Rios; grandson, Robert A. Rios III; granddaughters, Yolanda Kvaal (Travis) and Elizabeth Plant (Rodney); great-grandsons, Dax, Ricky, and Carter; and numerous cousins and a host of friends.

Roberto enjoyed watching movies on Turner Classic network and playing with his loyal and beloved Shih Tzu, Mia-Cristina. He will be greatly missed and loved.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, June 20, 2024, and Funeral Services will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM on Friday, June 21, 2024, both at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel.
