

He was a retired Army Combat Engineer and Vietnam War veteran with over 23 years of service. His tours included Korea, Thailand, Germany and Vietnam, before arriving at FT Hood Texas. Roger also retired from his second career, AAFES after 22 years of service as a refrigeration and air conditioning technician.
He often volunteered his time to help with school nutrition fund raisers and other activities at Fowler Elementary School where his wife Eva worked. Roger was active in the Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 35 years.
Roger was a man that had a passion for tools, fixing things and talking to people, he was so friendly.
Roger was very generous and always lending a helping hand to anyone in need. He would often pay for others groceries at the store when they were short on money.
He was also preceded in death by his older sister Virginia Ann Spencer.
He leaves behind his wife of 55 years Eva Mae (Ouellette) Grignon, a sister Rosemary Taylor of Bradenton FL, a brother Lawrence Emal Bolduc of Torrington, CT, and a sister Sharon Diane Phillips of New Ellenton SC as well as several nieces and nephews and four God children.
The Grignon family will receive guests for a time of visitation on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 5-7 PM in the chapel of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killeen with a rosary being recited at 6 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 AM Saturday, March 30, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
