Roy J. Barkey

Roy was born November 11, 1928 in Ranson Michigan and passed away in Killeen October 21, 2012.

Roy served in the Army Air Corp from 1945-1947, worked for Civil Service at Fort Hood from 1047-1984 and worked for the Killeen Independent School District from 1986-1994. He was a member of Killeen Lodge # 1125, the Waco Scottish Rite, and Karem Shrine in Waco.

He is preceded in death by his wife Laverne Saegert Barkey February 26, 2000.

Roy is survived by sons Michael R. Barkey of Aledo, Texas, and Norman Barkey and wife Penny of Killeen, daughter Carloyn L. Horne and husband Wayne of San Augustine Florida, sister Ila Mae Taube of Ohio,10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 Sunday November 4, 2012 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.
