Services for Ruby Jean Queen Miles will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 12, 2010 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen. Burial will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. She died Monday, July 5, 2010 in a Temple hospital. Reverand Eddie R. Tealer, Sr. will officiate.
Ruby was born September 1, 1950 in Taylor, Texas to Cecil Queen and Beulah Bell Dilworth Queen. She was raised and educated in Taylor where she graduated from high school. She married Curtis Miles on July 30th, 1976 in Georgetown. They have lived in Killeen since 1984.
Ruby is preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Queen, Jr., who passed away May 12, 1969.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Curtis Miles of Killeen; one sister, Margaret James of Taylor; one brother, Donald Ray Queen of Taylor; one step-son Raymond Holland of San Antonio; one step-daughter, Sarah Bonds of Bryan College Station; and a host of nieces and nephews.
