Ruth E. Thuemling

Ruth was born August 20, 1923 in Lorain, OH to William and Clara (Siggins) Glime. She graduated from Lorain High School and Wittenberg University and later taught Office Education Skills at Lorain High School.

Ruth enjoyed singing, making homemade chocolate delicacies and baking for family and friends. She loved her church and didn’t know a stranger. Her pride and joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the many nieces and nephews who knew her as “Aunt Ruthie”.

Ruth lived the majority of her life in Avon, OH. She and her husband Fred retired to Palmetto, FL in 1988 where she resided until 2009 when she moved to Killeen, TX.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Thuemling in 1999 and her great-grandson, Cooper Gaida in 2010. She is survived by four sons, Jonathan Lytle of Fremont, OH, Joel Lytle of Harker Heights, TX, George Thuemling of Norcross, GA and Tom Thuemling of Fernandina Beach, FL, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A Memorial service is scheduled on May 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 295 College Park Drive, Elyria, Ohio.
