A Visitation will be Sunday, March 7, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 in the evening at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. A Funeral Service will be 1:30 in the afternoon, Monday, March 8, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church of Killeen with The Rev. Randolph C. Nolen officiating. Interment will follow in Central Texas State Veteran Cemetery.
Ruth was born September 5, 1930 in Austin, TX to William Legear and Allie Mae Williamson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William “Woody” Wood; daughter, Linda Williams; two grandsons, Little Joe and JR. She is survived by her sons, Bennie Williams, Joe Wood, Scotty Wood; daughters, Glenda Miller, Debra Fetters; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and many loving brothers and sisters.
