Sandra Ann Lake

Sandra Ann Lake died March 6, 2025. She was born May 25, 1944, in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey England. She was preceded in death by her parents Leslie Cecil Moorshead and Joyce Mary Moorshead, sisters Brenda Elvey and Linda Moorshead, son David Lake, brother in law Kenneth Elvey and nephew Jason Elvey.

She is survived by her brothers Bill Moorshead (Dulcie) and John Moorshead (Margaret), sister Angela Ilsley (John), daughter Joanne Gillespie (Bernard), several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Sandy proudly worked as a United States Federal Government employee for 33 years on Fort Lewis in Washington State, retiring from Joint Base Lewis McChord Army Medical Center in 2012.

She enjoyed traveling home to England to visit her family every year and continued making this journey after moving to Texas in 2017. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend that was always ready to get together for a party or simply a hot cup of tea or a chat.
