Shelia Logwood, a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, was born on May 15, 1961, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, to the late Billy A.C. Harper Sr. and Mildred Harper. She made her home in Killeen, Texas, where she lived and created many memories that will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She was employed by the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) as a Food Court Supervisor for more than twenty years.
Shelia was a woman who could be many things all at once. She was funny, kind, hardworking, and sassy, yet she also carried a gentle and timid spirit. She had a way of bringing laughter into a room while quietly showing her love through the things she did for those she cared about. Her personality, her humor, and all the little things that made her uniquely Shelia will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Above all, Mom was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her strength and love live on through her five children: Shatoya Milton, Sha'Na Milton, Sharise Logwood, Shanil Logwood, and Samuel Logwood III. She was also a proud grandmother to DeShaun Brown, Christopher Johnson, Za'Hir Graham, Kaison Willis, and Kyrie Hollowell.
Shelia also leaves to cherish her memory her nieces, Marissa Goodfellow, Denise Harper, and Kristine Harper; her nephew, Sidney Ray Harper Jr.; and her great-niece, Aaliyah Rose.
Shelia was preceded in death by her beloved siblings, Sidney Harper, A.C. Harper Jr., and Carmelia Bruce, whom she now joins in eternal rest.
She leaves her siblings, Rodney Harper of Chicago, Illinois, and Faitheleen (James) Henderson of McDonough, Georgia, to cherish her memory, along with her extended family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
Though our hearts are heavy with the loss of Mom, we are grateful for the love, laughter, memories, and precious moments she gave us. Her life was a gift, her memory is a treasure, and her love will continue to live on through the family she leaves behind.
Memorial service will be at 11 am Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Burial will follow at Killeen City Cemetery in Killeen.
