

Funeral service for Sheron Rena Crane Ray 42, of Killeen, Texas will be on Tuesday April 6, 2010 at Greater Vision Community Church in Killeen at 11 AM. Burial with military honors will follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Sheron departed this life on Sunday March 28, 2010 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple Texas. She was born to James and Beulah Williams Crane on July 5, 1967 in Oceanside, CA. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a loving and loyal member of Greater Vision Community Church. She served in the US Army from 1987 to 1993 and was a SGT at the time of her release. She received the following decorations: Army Achievement Medal (1st Oak leaf cluster), Army Lapel Button, Army Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon with numeral 2, and a Marksman Badge.
Sheron graduated from C.E. Ellison High School and UMHB earning a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and attended Tarlton University earning a Master of Science degree in Psychology. She was employed at Cedar Crest Hospital in Belton. Sheron was the Chemical Dependency Coordinator and
Clinical Therapist.
She leaves to mourn her passing husband Bernard Ray and daughter Monique of Killeen and stepsons James A. Ray and Quentin B. Ray of Ottawa Canada, her parents James and Beulah Crane of Killeen, brother James Crane (wife Wanda) of Killeen, sisters LaVetta A. Boone of Atlanta, GA and Tracy Thomas (husband S. Roy) of Killeen, her mother-in -law Jossie L. Ray of Brownsville, TN and a host of in-laws, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
