

He was born February 4, 1950, to Anna Cecelia (Lonce) Krasusky and Edward John Krasusky in Peekskill, New York. The Krasusky family lived in Verplanck, New York where Stephen grew up. He attended St. Patrick’s School in Verplanck, NY and graduated from Hendrick Hudson High School in Montrose, NY. He then attended and graduated from the University of North Texas with his Bachelor’s Degree in History and later attended and graduated from Tarleton State University with his Master’s Degree in Education. He was a committed and loyal history teacher at Smith Middle School on Fort Hood, Texas for thirty five years.
He belonged to the Comanche Gap Medicine Man Council and was an avid supporter of the New York Yankees his entire life. Stephen was very proud of the fact the he owned every Beatles recording available. He was also very dedicated to his many rescued animals and enjoyed organic gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Edward Stephen Krasusky.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of twenty nine years, Chris Odom Krasusky of Harker Heights; a son, Tate Gorman and his wife April of Dallas; a daughter, Christine Gorman and her fiancée Brian Johnson of Austin and two grandchildren, John and RoryCate Gorman of Dallas.
A memorial visitation will be from five o’clock in the evening until seven o’clock in the evening, Saturday, January twenty second, two thousand and eleven at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.
