

Thomas was born September 3, 1944 in Massachusetts to John Wesley Moore and Leona (Hopkins) Moore.
He was a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army until his retirement in 1982. Being a Soldier was a large part of Thomas’s life he enjoyed serving and defending our freedom. He was a Vietnam Veteran. While serving he received the Army Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Service Ribbon, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal Korea, the Driver and Mechanic Badge, the Good Conduct Medal with five Loops, the NCO Professional Development Ribbon Numeral 2, the National Defense Service Medal, the Overseas Service Ribbon Numeral 2, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device and the Vietnam Service Medal with 1 bronze Service Star.
He was Baptist by faith. He was a member of Mt. Hiram Masonic Lodge #595 A.F. and A.M. in Copperas Cove.
Thomas enjoyed working with computers and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Moore of Killeen; two brothers, Timothy Moore and Michael Moore both of Massachusetts; a sister, Diana Fry of Massachusetts and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Moore family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in the chapel of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Interment service will follow in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery with full Military and Masonic honors.
