Tony Lee Taylor was born Oct 17, 1966 in Killeen, TX to Debra and Charles Anthony Taylor.

Tony attended Ellison High School in Killeen, TX. He was a carpenter and worked hard in the construction trade throughout his entire life. He was a roofer for his friend John Key for several years, worked at Fleetwood for several years, and even ran his own business before working for Fort Hood Family Housing for the last 15 years of his life.

Tony was an avid fisherman, known to his closest friends as the “Crappie King”. Tony shared his passion for fishing with his wife and favorite fishing buddy, Christa, as well as his closest friends and family. Tony also enjoyed all things nature. He loved hunting with his sons, Cory and Jeremie, shooting his guns, watching football and his favorite tv shows, taking care of his many plants, and spending his time with family and friends.

Tony passed away suddenly on September 7, 2020 in Killeen, TX. To those who didn’t know Tony, he was known as a hard worker, one that went out of his way to help others, and someone who had a great sense of humor. To those who knew Tony, he was a loving son, one that made sure to call his mother every day. He was a supportive husband, a strong-willed father, and an attentive grandparent. He was a generous and selfless man, one who was stubborn at times, but outspoken and stood up for what he believed in. He was an amazing man and will be missed dearly by his loved ones.

Tony is survived by his wife Christa Rose, his mother Debra Lafoe and her husband Harold, his brother Michael Ruckert and his two nieces Sarah and Ellie, his two sons Cory and Jeremie Smith and their wives Kiera and Ashlie respectively, his stepdaughter Nicole Milsap and her husband Corey, and his many grandchildren Kinleigh Smith, Madison Smith, Carlie Smith, Brayden Maines, and Alyssa Maines. He is preceded in death by his father Charles Anthony Taylor, grandmother Mariette Taylor, and grandson Conner Maines.

While growing up Tony and I became the very best of friends and were like brothers from different mothers. If one needed something the other one would always be there. He was my best friend ever and always will be. Someday I will join you.

Mr. Tony Lee Taylor was born Oct 17, 1966 in Killeen, TX. Tony AKA Tony T, “Crappie King”, because he had a love for fishing.

Tony attended Ellison High School, I Killeen, Texas.

Tony worked hard his entire life. He was a carpenter for Wynn Residential; a roofer for John Key; worked at Fleetwood; before starting and running his own business. There’s nothing like being the BOSS!

Tony had a list of hobbies nad passions Hobbies/Passions: FISHING FISHING FISHING AND MORE FISHING (especially crappie in Stillhouse lake, Belton lake, and Granger with his wife, family, and closest friends), hunting with his sons, shooting guns, collections of all sorts (coins, baseball cards, comics, knifes, etc), watching football, spending time with family and friends, called his mother everyday, had a green thumb (liked to garden)
