Trudi was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She moved to America with her four children and her husband, Joseph Calderon, who served in the U.S. Army. They settled in Killeen, Texas, while Joseph served at Fort Hood. Trudi lived a life full of travel, exploring different countries and states with her husband. She cherished a quiet and peaceful life and enjoyed it when her grandchildren would visit. After the passing of her husband, her dog Heidi became her world. Trudi was always giving and caring, often putting others' needs before her own.
Trudi's warmth and love will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter Gabby, and son-in-law Thomas Shuttleworth.
Trudi is survived by her children Silvia I. Randazzo, Sonja E. Herring, Werner L. Gierstorfer, and Susi G. Shuttleworth; her grandchildren Michael Bonfiglio, Dusty Cassavaugh, Daniel Herring, Meghan Shuttleworth, Savana Gierstorfer, Sabrina Gierstorfer, and Sebastian Gierstorfer; and several great-grandchildren whom she absolutely adored.
A funeral service for Trudi will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 South Fort Hood Road, Killeen, TX.
A private burial service will be held.
