Uncle Virgil you will be missed and always remembered. Every time I go get ice cream I remember you taking me on my first "date" .It was so much fun eating our ice cream and watching the cars drive by. You always had something funny to say and don't get me started on your Christmas lights! Aunt Belle I am so sorry for this sudden loss but I know your amazing strength will carry you on. Love you!

Thank you Virgil for being a light in our lives. You will be missed dearly.

Paul and I had the pleasure of living next door to Virgil and Belle for the first 15 years of our marriage. Virgil was the first person to come to our house and welcome us to Rhonda Lee Street. Virgil introduced Paul to little jobs around the house and shared with him many of the wood working skills Paul has now turned into a fine art. Paul had the joy of singing at their anniversary party and we both just enjoyed being around them. Both Virgil and Belle were there for us when we brought home our little girl, born on Halloween, and Virgil filmed her as we took her out of the van from the hospital. Every year on her birthday we would trick or treat at the Porter's and they always had a little card waiting for her. Virgil and Belle have always been and will always be treasured people in our memories. We are sending love to the family for their loss of this amazing man.

I'm extending my heartfelt sympathy to Virgil's family and friends especially his loving wife Belle.  And I'm sending love to all the family
Virgil was not only a military hero; he was a hero to family and friends.  The most important things to him were his family and country.  He was a considerate, kind and gentle man having a good sense of humor with an infectious laugh.  
I'm blessed having known him and Belle.  I will miss Virgil and know that he will always be a part of my memory.
