

A family graveside service for Virginia “Bebe” Levi Baker, 85, of Killeen, will be held Tuesday, February 21, at 10 a.m. with her nephew, Les Baker, officiating. Mrs. Baker died Friday, February 17, 2017. She was born in Edgewood, Maryland on December 27, 1931 to Irvine W. Levi and Virginia “Ginney” Levi. Being from a military family, Mrs. Baker moved several times while in school, but graduated from Killeen High School while her father was stationed at Fort Hood. Her parents retired and remained in Killeen.
Mrs. Baker was a bookkeeper for Lott & Vernon for several years before staying home to raise her children. After her children were in school, she returned to the workforce to become the Courtroom Clerk for the Federal Magistrate at Fort Hood. After retirement, she enjoyed her work as a volunteer at Metroplex Hospital.
Her husband, Elijah Baker; her parents, Irvine and Ginney Levi; her sister, Joan Levi Carpenter; and her brother, Bill Levi, preceded Mrs. Baker in death. She is survived by her children, Barbara Adams and her husband, Gordon G. Adams; Elijah Baker and his wife, D’Ann; and Susan Honning, and by her three grandchildren, Michael Adams; Jonathan “JT” Honning and his wife, Christina; and Lana Honning, and her brother, Tom Levi, and his wife, Janice.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that a donation be made to a charity of your choice or the Killeen ISD Education Foundation.
Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen is in charge of arrangements.
