I just learned that Ms. Sullivan passed away.  I was a student at East Ward Elementary School, in fourth grade, in Ms. Pfiester's class in the spring of 1991.  I was a new student from South Korea, did not speak any English, but thanks to Ms. Sullivan's ESL class I was able to find myself at home in the new world.  She was a terrific lady with warm wits.  I still remember her as one of the most memorable teachers in my life.   Hope this belated message from Seoul finds Ms. Sullivan's family.  

Hello. My sympathies to Virginia Sullivan's family. I worked at East Ward Elementary School as a Fourth Grade Teacher back in 1987 through 1993. I remember that Ms Sullivan was one of two ESL Teachers there. What a caring and generous teacher she was for all of her student! She advocated for them and always worked with the classroom teachers for the best interests of the children. A classy lady with a sense of humor. Glad we met.  Sincerely, Nancy Pfiester
