I miss you dearly my sister. I think of you often. I miss our Saturday outings, going out to dinner and seeng the latest movies on the big screen; going shopping at our favorite store "Stein Mart" ( which is closed now); our late night chats on the phone and our talks about the Lord. Mrs. Oliphant was a wonderful friend and excellent educator. I enjoyed teaching alongside her at Bellaire. She was a true Woman of God who exhibited a giving, compassionate and gentle heart of gold. I’m going to miss my friend and our many laughs, talks and prayers! May her soul rest in heaven, as she has left a great legacy on this earth! Hello family. It was so nice to have my friend in my life to share fun memories with. I remembered we went to Denny's one of  Wanda favorite place. She made sure that the order was right, once her breakfast arrive some of the food had to go back wasn't right. Another memory we were in Indianapolis and after flying all day and luggage got lost, Wanda was a  encourager. I remembered Wanda mention to me that when she go to the AIM and I go I could share a room. So Florida was the last AIM together 2019. And I was surprised she wanted to sleep on the couch she was like I always sleep on the couch. I was like but it's two double bed. lol. She was true friend. 

Ms. O, this one hurt. You were such a classy woman of GOD! You carried the Lord with you every step of the way and it showed! So inspirational. I enjoyed working with you. Many afternoons I would stop by your room, or you’d stop by mine, and we’d be the only teachers left that hadn’t gone home for the day. We’d tell each other to go home and get some rest. We would talk, talk, talk, and look up and an hour or more would have passed. :) You loved your family. You always spoke highly of them and shared many fun stories. My son loved you also. Even when he was in trouble with me you bought him his transformers because you knew I wouldn’t. Haha. You gave such great advice on parenting/life and you knew when to lend your help. You saw when I was down, in pain or going through and you gave encouraging words that made me hold onto faith a little while longer. Up until just last month we talked a lot on FB. You saw my fishing videos and always commented on them or sent me messages about how you missed going with your dad. I told you when you got better you were welcomed to come with us. I know without question those pearly gates opened for you, but I have to admit that you WILL be missed. I pray strength for your family during this time. Rest In Peace, 🥀 🕊 

I’m so lost for words...I loved Mrs. O. We started at Pink together, and she was such a sweet person. I knew how much she loved her biological kids and grandkids, and she treated her students like her own. She was my go-to for academic and personal advice. She supported me and never let me down. Most importantly, she knew the Lord. She not only knew Him, but she had a personal relationship with Him. I’ll miss you, friend. 

To Bruce, Amanda, Daniel, her precious grand babies, and all of her family, may God give you peace and comfort during this time. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. ❤️❤️❤️

When I met Ms. O first thing that came to mind was this women is a angel, she was very well dressed, soft spoken & when I found out she was a HUGE Dallas Cowboys fan we became friends.  Every Monday during football season she would find me & whether they won or lost we would have fun talking about it.  May her family find comfort & peace.  God bless you for sharing a great women with us here at Bellaire Elementary School.

I will always remember Mrs. Oliphant, not just because she knew my mother very well, but because she was such a joy to see everyday at school. She always had a beautiful smile and “good ole” words of wisdom. She was just as beautiful inside as she was outside. She was a rare jewel to be cherished forever. I pray that her family experiences peace that surpasses all understanding and joy that lasts forevermore. By the way, Mrs. O, give my mama a big hug for me!!! We love you!!!

Ms. Oliphant was such a wonderful person.  I enjoyed teaching with her and having a great friendship with her.  She shared the word of God with me and you just knew God was with her through her spirit. She was an angel God brought into my life. I enjoyed the laughter she brought to our team.  I miss you. Rest now with Him. Adorn your crown!

Ms. Oliphant you was a sweet spirit and I enjoyed talking with her at the end of the day when we we're dismissing kids. May she always hold a place in her family and friends heart. She will be truly missed.

I never had the opportunity to meet Mrs. Oliphant, but I soon learned she was an amazing teacher with a big heart.

My name is Victoria Cruz and I was the new 5th grade teacher to enter her classroom at Bellaire in January of 2020. It was my first class to call my own. I was new teaching, and soon discovered the love she had for her students. 

From the environment of the room and the way her students talked about her, I could tell she loved what she did. They missed her dearly. 

I feel honored that I was chosen to come into room 108 after Mrs. Oliphant. I had big shoes to fill, but I enjoyed creating connections with her students. I’ll forever hold a place in my heart for her.

I deeply miss my dear friend! We met years ago at the Lily of the Valley COGIC in Houston where we both attend church. We had an immediate connection; which sparked a long friendship. I will miss our Annual December Girls outing of seeing a movie, eating dinner and shopping at our favorite store “Stein Mart”. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Amanda and Bruce, along with her grandchildren and other family members. Although it hurts to see her go; I know she is in a better place. Resting in the arms of God. Praying God will bring you comfort to face the days ahead and may the loving memories of her forever hold in your hearts. May the Peace and the love of God be with you and your family during your time of bereavement.

It is wonderful to meet and work with colleagues; but,  it is all the more special when you get to work with your friend. Wanda and I go back many, many years. The bond created then never wavered. I appreciate and will treasure all of her little "silent blessings" - as she would call them. She had such a giving heart.
Wanda's expertise and skill base grew every year. Kids and parents fought to get in her room. Her dedication to student success was second to none. Her grace, smile, and compassion will be missed at Bellaire. To God Be the Glory.  Rest my friend.

When I began teaching in 2001, Wanda was my mentor. She took me under her wings and taught me everything she knew about connecting with your students first before you can teach them content. When I found out I was pregnant with my twins, she went with me to my lamaze classes. She was more than a mentor. Wanda was my friend and sister in Christ. She will forever be dear to my heart. Rest in Peace Wanda. 

     Ms. Oliphant was the best teacher I had during elementary! With that her wisdom shared carried on during my life as well. Lessons from then have not expired or faded. I remember how we connected over Michael Jackson and her looking out for me during and after school. I know that she will be loved, cherished and appreciated after just as much as she was here.

I still have the MJ posters she gave me when I graduated from 5th grade. They mean even more now! May she rest.

Ms O taught my sons Nakeal and Desi. They both loved her and I really appreciate everything that she did for them at Pink. She made learning fun for them. Ms O was born to be an educator with her compassion,  smile and Grace. May you Rest In Peace. See you later Ms O until I see you again.

Ms. O and I always had laughs in class, she was a great teacher and was always one of my favorites, may she be at peace.

ms . oliphant was the best 5th grade teacher at pink elementary . every morning when she walked in , all the students face lit up because she was such a good inspiration . she showed love when no one could find it . she always wanted to play my girl by the temptations while we worked . she loved to talk to us about gospel , i thank her for everything she’s done for me and my 5th grade class . fly high ms . O❤️

Wanda was the prime example of a "sophisticated lady" and the ultimate professional. I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Ms. Oliphant for the past two years at Bellaire Elementary.  When she entered the building, her smile, even though she did not like to show it, would light up the room. I feel blessed just for having the opportunity to know her.  May God be with your family as they get through this difficult time.   Rest In Heaven My Friend
