Willow Dean Griffin passed away on October 1st 2019, at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple, after a lengthy battle with cancer. A visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 4th, from 6 pm-8 pm, at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. The funeral will take place on Saturday, October 5th at 2pm, with graveside services to follow at the Killeen Cemetery. Dean was born on December 20th, 1941 in Tuscaloosa County Alabama, near the town of Brookwood. Dean moved to the area in the early 60s and began working for Hacks Western Wear which was located in downtown Killeen. While working for Hacks, she met and married George Sherman (G.S.) Griffin of Killeen. They remained married until his passing on January 7th, 2012. Dean worked in the aviation industry, and held various positions with Rio Airways, and managed and operated Aviation Scene of Killeen, which was located at the Killeen Airport. Dean was very active in the Bell County Republican Party and ran several polling booths in her spare time. Dean is survived by her son, Gary Griffin of Austin, his wife Irene Fashho Griffin, and two grandchildren; Noreen Dalia Griffin, and Nicholas Lee Griffin.
