Winifred Shields Myer

Winifred Shield, Winnie Myer was born in Glasgow, Scotland on November 16, 1937. She passed away on March 8, 2025 at age 87 in Killeen, TX . She is survived by her daughter Karen Pearson and son Michael Myer (Ann), 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Norm, her son Blair and her grandson Greg.

At age 14 she immigrated from Scotland with her family and settled in Santa Rosa ,CA. She met Norm while they were both working at the phone company and they married in 1957 and started their family. Throughout her life she lived in multiple states, including NV and AZ and finally landed in TX.

She and Norm loved to travel and went back to Scotland multiple times to see family. They also travelled extensively throughout the USA and Europe.

Her most fulfilling roles were working as a teacher’s aide when her children were young and later in life spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren as often as possible. She enjoyed playing the slot machines and was usually lucky! She loved to read and excelled at interior design.

She was dearly loved and will be missed by all.
