

Alan was born on January 16, 1960 in Salt Lake City to Ray and Louise Lloyd. He grew up in Murray, Utah and attended Murray High School where he met his wife Jo Lyn. They married on June 23, 1978. He later attended the University of Utah and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He earned his medical degree at the University of Utah School of Medicine and did his psychiatric residency at the Detroit Psychiatric Institute. He was a dedicated physician who cared for his many patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings throughout his career. Alan was an avid tennis player, loved to play golf, and he was a great automobile enthusiast.
He is preceded in death by his beloved sister Janna (Kelly) Brady. Alan is survived by the love of his life, Jo Lyn and his son Jonathan (Kingwood, TX), his parents Ray and Louise Lloyd (Murray, UT), his brothers Tom (Kathy) Lloyd (Ann Arbor, MI), Christopher (Jeri Lynne) Lloyd (Logan, UT), his sister Heather (David) Smith (Star, ID) and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. His wry sense of humor, caring warmth and love will be deeply missed by all.
In accordance with Alan’s wishes, no public services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to the American Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
