Barbara Jean Blanton

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, George S. Blanton Jr., and her son, Jerry Blanton.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: George Blanton of Florida, Bonnie Beirne and Evelyn Allen of Kingwood, Texas, Richard Blanton of La Porte, Texas, and Vickie Conner of Fulshear, Texas. Barbara was also blessed with ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy and pride throughout her life.

Barbara was born on April 12, 1928, in New Mexico. On April 6, 1946, she married the love of her life, George S. Blanton Jr. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and devotion to one another.

Throughout her life, Barbara called several Texas communities home. She spent her early years in El Paso and later lived in Lufkin and Midland as her family grew. Following retirement, she and George settled in the Clute and Lake Jackson area before eventually making their home in Kingwood, Texas.

Barbara's greatest happiness came from spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a woman of deep and abiding faith whose trust in God guided her throughout her life. She found comfort and joy in the timeless hymns and old gospel songs she loved so dearly.

Barbara will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering faith, quiet strength, and the lasting legacy she leaves through her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace and reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.

A Celebration of Life honoring Barbara will be held on June 26 at 10:00 a.m. at the Kingwood Funeral Home
