Carl Floyd Jones

Carl was born and grew up in Mississippi. He moved to Shreveport, Louisiana where he met and married his wife, Linda Kay.

His career supporting the oil field industry relocated him back and forth between Louisiana and Texas where his family finally settled in Kingwood, Texas in 1986. He had various jobs and titles throughout the industrial pump industry. Starting at WL Somner, Southern Engine and Pump Company/Sepco/DXP Enterprises, Argo, Bott Equipment and retired at the age of 70 while working for Odessa Pumps/DNOW.

He enjoyed road trips with his family, playing golf, attending sporting events, golf weekends with his buddies, spending time with family, watching movies and going to concerts.

He made many friends and touched many lives along the way. Carl always had an infectious smile and was full of quick wit and stories.

Proceeded in death by his wife, Linda Kay Jones, father-in-law Donald Hensley, and brother and sister-in laws Mona and Steve Hensley and Donnie Hensley.

Survived by his two children, Jennifer Marie and Jason Michael Jones, his mother-in-law Elizabeth Hensley, and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to American Cancer Society.

A memorial service will be held at Kingwood Funeral Home, located at 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, TX, 77339, on July 30, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Following the service, a catered reception will take place at the same venue, beginning at 12:00 pm.
