CB (as she is known around the office) interviewed and hired me for a job in CO's DTP with the understanding I was proficient in MS Office - I thought I was, I wasn't - and could quickly learn about document control and publishing - I did.

Her first directives: 'keep coloring books and crayons at all times - you will need them'; 'do your job'; 'have fun!'

Right after hiring me she left for vacation leaving me to learn about PDFs (a new-ish to me technology). Upon her return I told her all she could ever want to know about the history and functionality of PDF. Whereas what she wanted was for me to learn how to use it - I did. Subsequently, we both learned I'm good for a rabbit hole.

I have a lot of CB stories, but my take-away is this: She had more faith in me than I had/have in myself and I know I'm going to miss that. I'm certain I'm not alone.

My dearest Aunt Cathy, oh how I will miss your smiling face, your caring heart, and your words of wisdom here on Earth. I’ve never known my life without you and I cannot thank you enough for loving me so deeply and supporting me throughout my journey growing up. You instilled a lot of morals and values and love into my heart that I’m forever grateful for. Until we meet again, I love you and I know you are dancing with the angels. Love you always and forever more, Amber

We will be forever grateful to have been a part of Cathy’s, Barry’s and Aron’s lives! This spring at Zane’s K.W. baseball banquet Cathy was sitting at the end of a bench, allowing for us to sit beside her and Barry. We hadn’t had quality time with them in a long while and we kidded each other laughing about being the “old geezer” grandparents, watching all the youngsters running around having fun. I will always remember she had a gentle word and kindness in her heart for everyone. Cathy was a sweet, and beautiful person! We send our love, heartfelt condolences and prayers to Barry, Aron and all of the Brown family. Most sincerely, Karen Kaye & Darrell Boeske
