Charles Wayne Stuber

Charles Wayne Stuber, 77, of Humble, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on August 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Charles was born in Leesville, Louisiana, on July 24, 1948, to Margie and Junior Stuber. In his early years, his family lived in various places due to his father's military career, eventually settling in Houston, Texas, in 1966.

In 1969, Charles met and married the love of his life, Susie, and together they joyfully welcomed two daughters, Lori and Lendi. Charles worked in retail management and airport security management, and later found his calling in the computer technology field before retiring in 2018.

Charles had a deep love for great music especially classic rock, classic country and gospel. He also had a lifelong fascination with history and could often be found reading, watching documentaries, or engaging in thoughtful conversations about the past and how it shapes the present. His curiosity, appreciation for learning, and exceptional memory made him both a wise listener and a captivating storyteller.

Charles accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in October 1976 and shared his faith openly and graciously throughout his life.

Charles was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Margie and Junior Stuber, and his brother, Danny Stuber. He is survived by his wife, Susie Stuber; his sister, Shirley Back and husband, George; his daughters, Lori Freshour and husband, Steve, and Lendi Hanke and husband, Joe; his grandchildren, Kady Rollin and husband, Josh, Kyndal Illardi and husband, Michael, and Kali Freshour; and his great-granddaughters, Caroline Rollin and Charleigh Rollin. He is also lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

We will forever cherish the memories of Charles Stuber-the husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. We give thanks to the Creator for his life.

Until we meet again, we hold fast to the promise of eternity and the comfort of the memories he leaves behind.

A memorial service will be held, Saturday, August 30th, 2025, at 1 PM, at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, Texas.
