Dany Christian Jerome Ditilyeu passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, at the age of 51, surrounded by his loving family while watching what he loved most—the FIFA World Cup. Born on September 21, 1974, in Dunkirk, France, Dany moved to Houston, Texas, at the age of 23, where he built a life centered on family, friendship, and hard work.
Above all, Dany loved his family. His greatest pride and joy were his children, Alexandre Ditilyeu and Alizé Ditilyeu, whom he loved unconditionally. He was a devoted father who always put his family first, offering guidance, support, and endless love throughout his life. Dany was also known for his incredible work ethic. From the time he arrived in the United States, he dedicated his career to SDV, remaining with the company as it evolved into Bolloré Logistics and later CEVA Logistics. His loyalty, commitment, and perseverance earned the respect of everyone who worked alongside him.
Dany was an intelligent and hardworking man who placed great value on education and personal growth. After graduating from Lycée Jean-Bart in Dunkirk, he continued his studies in its preparatory program before going on to graduate from NEOMA Business School. His determination, curiosity, and ambition helped shape the successful life and career he built for himself and his family.
Dany had a deep passion for sports and competition. He loved playing soccer and spent many years enjoying the game both as a player and a fan. Soccer was a lifelong passion that connected him to his roots and brought him immense joy. In later years, he developed a love for pickleball, where his competitive spirit, sense of humor, and trademark friendly trash talk made him unforgettable both on and off the court. No matter the sport, Dany loved the camaraderie, excitement, and friendships that came with it.
Known for his quick wit and ability to make people laugh, Dany brought joy to every room he entered. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, laughter, hard work, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He leaves behind countless memories that will be cherished forever.
Forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered.
