David served proudly in the United States Air Force. He would later become an oil field company president before retiring.
David leaves behind his loving wife, Cathy Wofford. David has two surviving brothers Sandy and Gill Wernick, a sister Diane McDerrmott, two children David Scott Wernick and Stephanie McCoy, granddaughter Jada Bolinsky, step daughter Lisa Fox and step grandson Jacob Fox.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, Texas 77339.
