She graduated from Washburn High School in the class of 1943.
After attending Minnesota Business College, she worked for Aetna life Insurance Company. Betty married her late husband Wally (Walter) A. Krueger in 1948. They were together for 73 years before his passing in 2021. They did a lot of travelling with Wally's position until they were able to settle in Texas, which they loved.
However, in 1968 the family moved to Ridgefield, Ct because of Wally's job. Betty wanting to be busy and meet people went to work part-time at Read's Department Store in the "Better Sportswear Department", which was right up her alley.
They also asked her to model on occasion, which was also fun for her. Happily, they were able to move back to Texas (Kingwood) in 1983, which was their dream.
Betty was an avid golfer, loved playing bridge, and loved shopping. Betty and Wally enjoyed planning and giving wonderful parties and enjoyed being with their family and friends.
Betty is survived by their 3 children, Steve (Wendy)Krueger, Ann (Frank) Lancaster, and Jim,{wife Rhonda passed away recently) Krueger. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren Michael {Nicole) Lancaster, William {Holle) Lancaster, and Jennifer {Ben)Matus.
Eight great grandchildren, Payton, Rylee, Emma, Lucas, Jackson and Parker Lancaster, and Ethan and Liliana Matus.
