

He was born the son of Benedict and Cecelia (Zamenski) Maciejewski on May 2, 1936 in Alpena, Michigan.
Emmet was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked at Kroger for 42 years, and retired as a general manager. Emmet loved to build houses, and he built 8 of the houses that he lived in. He enjoyed vintage cars, and doing volunteer work in the community. Everyone who knew him will remember him as a kind hearted person.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Patricia Burke; children, Kevin G. Maciejewski, Toni Maciejewski, and Tim (Dee Smith) Maciejewski; grandchildren, Katie Maciejewski and Erik Maciejewski; step-children, Bill (Michelle) Burke, Tricia (Chuck) Zinnecker, Kellianne (Ken) Olson, and Colleen Burke; step-grandchildren, Josh Burke, Aidan Burke, Caroline Zinnecker, Lilly Zinnecker, Kennedy Olson, and Kendall Olson; a sister, Janice (John) Kell, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents, and a brother Robert Maciejewski.
A visitation will be held Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kingwood Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014, at 10:00 a.m.in the chapel of Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood Texas 77339.
