Our precious lady, Estelle Snow, went to be with her Lord on January 16, 2013. She was known as “MeMe” to family, friends, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she was ever devoted to caring for whenever they needed her loving, tender care. She worked hard all her life, sometimes working two jobs at a time, but she always made sure that she could be at the grandkids events. When she retired from Harris County, at age 62 years, she was thrilled to be able to spend more time with her great-grandchildren and enjoy their many activities. She also spent hours in her yard, growing flowers and shrubs of every type and color, putting that green thumb to good use. The backyard looked like a farmers’ paradise, full of vegetables and strawberries, even the tame blackberry bushes were as tall as the shed. Several fruit trees shaded the yard and were always loaded at their time of harvest. She also loved to can fresh preserves and jellies, watermelon rind preserves being her specialty. There just wasn’t much that this wonderful lady couldn’t do. She loved her family, friends, and her church dearly. Truly the mold was broken after the Lord created this precious lady.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, Texas 77339 with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. A burial will take place following the funeral service at Farley Chapel Cemetery, 6431 FM 2666 Road, Shepherd, Texas 77371.
