Gerry is one of the smartest, kindest, and gentlest of souls I have
had the pleasure to know. Thou he may have departed from this
life, my fondest memories of him will continue on.
May God watch over his family and friends until we meet again.

Jerry was an institution at St. Martha for years.  It speaks to the kind of man he was that in my thousand of photo I took at St. Martha I can not find him in one.  He was a behind the scenes servant.  He will be missed.  My sincere condolence to Marian and their family.  

 When we are fortunate enough to have a wonderful person
touch our lives..it is a Blessing.
 When that person goes to God they leave us with cherished
memories..that is the Gift.
 Within our hearts the connection will never cease to exist
It goes on for all eternity..and that is Love.

Such wonderful memories of a fun, loving husband, father, brother-in-law, uncle and friend so much like family.  Jerry was always a bright light at every event and his mark is forever etched in my heart.  My deepest sympathy to you all.  May God be with each of you to get through this difficult time, as I will be praying for strength and healing that only he can provide.

I have such fond memories of Jerry and Marian, living in the apartment next to ours (Tom & Carol), when we were young married couples, just starting out,  living in Blue Island Illinois.  Our low-budget Friday and Saturday nights were so fun and memorable...lots of laughs, lots of card-playing.  Jerry, not a big talker, always knew when to come in with  a witty remark that kept the fun going...and  if the festivities were at the Mannix household, he and Marian always made us feel that they were super-glad we were there.  
Jerry was a gentleman...a practical, down-to-earth guy...a follow-the-rules guy...so admirable.   I hope he and Tom are shuffling the deck and getting the game started in Heaven.
