Mr. De Primo was born on May 19, 1924 in New Haven, Connecticut. He was the son of the late Salvatore and Nancy (Amento) De Primo. Between 1936 and 1944 the De Primo family operated a grocery store at 301 Washington Avenue, New Haven, Connecticut.
Mr. De Primo graduated from Commercial High School in New Haven in 1942. He later received a Bachelor's of Science Degree from Central Connecticut University.
He served in WWII in the 915th Signal Company, Depot, Aviation, having duty in North Africa, Italy, Germany, and Belgium.
On November 27, 1947 he married Anne Guidace of Meriden, Connecticut at the Mount Carmel Church in Meriden, Connecticut. In Norwich, Connecticut he was a communicant of St. Peter and Paul Church and St. Martha's Church in Kingwood, TX.
Prior to retirement, he was employed as a Senior Department Head at the Norwich Regional Vocational-Technical School.
He was a member of the Connecticut State Employees Association, and Rose City Senior Center, also a member of the Norwisch AARP Chapter #3636, and served as its President from 1996 to 1998.
In 2011 he moved to Kingwood, Texas to be close to his daughter Nancy DePrimo Zuromski, son-in-law Carl Zuromski, and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Anne of 74 years, one son John and his wife Elizabeth of Santa Fe, New Mexico and one daughter, Nancy Zuromski and husband Carl of Kingwood, Texas. He has two grandsons Joseph Kramer and his wife Traci Standifer, and Nicholas Kramer and his wife Maria and great granddaughter, Marcella Rose. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Anne Christina De Primo in 1994. One brother Salvatore De Primo, and his wife Ann of Hamden, Connecticut and of St. Petersberg, Florida, and one sister Mary Mirabella of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
Following the Funeral Service and Cremation, Giro will be returned to the family plot at Maplewood Cemetery in Norwich, Connecticut.
