

Hugh Doyle Little went to be with the Lord on February 11, 2016. He was born December 20, 1934 to Charles and Beulah Little in Eagleton, AR. His family moved to Pasadena, TX when he was 6, where he lived for all of his school years. He graduated from Pasadena High School where he was active in softball, baseball, track and Student Council throughout junior and senior high years and served as President his senior year. He had a beautiful voice and led church choirs as he worked toward his graduation from East Texas Baptist University. Upon graduation he began a lifelong career in education, earning advanced degrees and progressing from teaching to school administrator as Principal, Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent in the Pasadena, Pearland, Calallen, Hitchcock, and Tuloso-Midway school districts. Doyle loved his work with students, helping their parents, working with his teachers and thoroughly enjoyed visiting with people of all walks of life. During retirement he served as president of his community association, Deacon at the First Presbyterian Church-Kingwood where he also participated in the church choir, volunteered with The Gathering Place, and loved participating in the Retired Men’s Bible Study group.
He is survived by his best friend and wife of 35 years, Cynthia Dryden Barnes Little, children Doyle Allen Little, Gina Little Lawson, Jana Little Raney her husband Boyce, step-sons Craig Barnes and Doug Barnes and his wife Andrea, sister Wanda Martin, grandchildren Corey Pulver and her husband Donnie, Blake Lawson and his wife Jess, Allison Wagstaff and her husband Kevin, Samuel Bethea, Claire Barnes, Stanley Barnes, Jacob Barnes, and great-grandchildren Tobin, Anya, Aden, Brielle, Corbin, and Quinton Pulver, Zoey and Zander Lawson and Keira Wagstaff, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, their spouses and children and many good friends. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Katie Rogers, brothers Charles Little and Ralph Little.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2:00 P.M., at the First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to a charity of your choice or to the First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood, 5520 Kingwood Drive, Kingwood, Texas 77345.
