

James (Jimmy) Roy Clanton Jr., 51, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away December 24, 2015 in a Houston hospital after suffering a stroke while on a hunting trip with his father. He was born on July 6, 1964 in Corpus Christi, Texas to James Roy and Louise (Cleveland) Clanton.
Jimmy spent most of his life in Corpus Christi. He graduated in 1983 from Richard King High School. At the time of his death, he was employed by Dal Tile in Corpus Christi. Previously, he worked at PPG/Monarch Paint Company and as a taxidermist at All Creatures Great and Small.
Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman and loved both hunting and fishing.
Jimmy is survived by his parents Jim and Louise Clanton of Porter, TX; sister Debbie (Brent) Hennings of Kingwood, TX; nephews Nicholas and Andrew Hennings; his aunt, numerous cousins; and his girlfriend Tera Delucia of Corpus Christi, TX.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his grandparents Roy Lawler and Margaret (Lane) Clanton and Alvin and Marie (Brandenburg) Cleveland.
Jimmy was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Cage-Mills Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
