

After graduating from Midwood High School, Jim attended Pace College. He served his country for six years as a reserve Army medic. Jim earned his bachelor’s in Humanities from Centenary College of Louisiana and a master's degree from Houston Baptist University.
Jim began his career with Texas Eastern Gas Pipeline in Shreveport, Louisiana, eventually transferring to Houston, Texas. He remained through mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures before retiring to play golf. Throughout his professional tenure, he enjoyed the many friends he met and worked alongside, up and down the pipeline.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, father, and older brother, Kenny. He is survived by his wife Marcy, his two sons, Jimmy & Ben, and Ben’s wife, Heather. He is also survived by his four grandchildren Kendall, Cash, and Katelyn of Kingwood, Texas, and Tyler of Coral Gables, Florida. Jim loved his family and his friends. His loss will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at a later date.
