I'm really not sure where to begin here at 51yrs old now, so i guess i should just simply begin talking about our humble beginnings . When i was thirteen i met a kid much like myself , we hung out with each other on a particular day in the country for hours one summer.I remember as plain as the nose on my face how we trimbled at the legs climbing up an old wooden ladder that led to an old barn on john's property, we didn't get there making a brief stopover or a shortcut to john's home either, we were chased there by this huge, huge hereford bull (curly ) owned by his grandfather ,Mr. Charlie McGowan. After about two and a half hours had gone passed we finally asked each others names,it was the least we could do to make light of our being held hostage by curly . I remember him saying John Cline is my name, and i said Kenneth McGowan's mine ,even as a twelve year old little kid john had a strong sense of propriety about himself, the kid was half brittish of course, and that explains that, but ; why his mouth dropped as if he suddenly saw a ghost will always remain a mystery to me . I remember asking him" well which way out do we jump out of here", he said "i 'm not sure, but your last name is the same as my grampa's" and from that day forward we became pals, little rascals style, like you'd never imagine , from hunting, listening to aerosmith , fishing ,and spending the night on most fridays ,back and forth from his home to my parents' place. Yeah :) , i knew john during those wonder years of our lives very well ,from 13 to 16 years of age , and even though i was the oldest johnny left quite an indelible impression on me,one that will last until i reach my eternity.(Holding back the tears)

My purest condolence.
Kenneth McGowan.
