John celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary to Leanne Trussell Miller in September of 2023. He was blessed to have a loving extended family through his sisters nieces, nephews, and his cousins. He is survived by the love of his life Leanne, his three daughters, Andrea, Bethany, and Caitlin, and two grandchildren, Julian and Emma.
John was a Vietnam veteran, a Cornhuskers fan, a Lutheran, and an especially talented photographer.
John had fought health issues throughout much of his life, but fought with full-strength and courage until the very end for his family, whom he loved dearly. In respect of John's wishes, there will not be a service, and in lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Habitat for Humanity.
