John Joseph Parry

John Joseph Parry, 73, of Kingwood, Texas passed away peacefully at his home on August 1, 2012. John was born on May 31, 1939, in Pennsylvania to Gertrude and William Parry. He was the youngest of four children Dorothy, Mary and Bill.

John was a very active boy who enjoyed playing pranks and telling jokes. After high school, John entered the Air Force and served his country for the next four years as a military police officer. In 1965 he married the love of his life Catherine Celauro and a daughter soon followed. John was a proud graduate of Saint Peter's College and a passionate fan of the New York Football Giants. However, he was most proud of his daughter and her achievements and his grandson.

In 1972 John began working for the Mobil Oil Corporation and in 1980 the company relocated his family from New Jersey to Kingwood, Texas. Over the next 30 years, John worked for Mobile, played golf and spent his time with family and friends.

John was a loving husband and father and a caring friend to many. John is survived by his wife, Catherine Parry of Kingwood, Texas; daughter, Lisa Cauble of Martindale, Texas; son-in-law, Kevin Cauble of Martindale, Texas; grandson, William Cauble of Martindale, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm, Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Kingwood Funeral Home with a rosary to begin at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am, Monday, August 6, 2012 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 4301 Woodridge Parkway, Porter, Texas 77365.
